Write up of how these finding changed/informed your idea (500 words) If necessary explain how your idea has changed in general and why.

From looking at my audience research from survey monkey I have found out that the majority of my audience has similar thoughts already on things that were important in interviews such as CVs (60% thought this was very important) and eye contact (80% thought this was the most important in an interview).

My original idea was to inform young people on the differences between good and bad interviews through the use of a voiceover and an over exaggerated comical bad interview and a good interview. I found out from my SWOTS and my survey that my audience also thought that it would be better to include comedy in my video rather than making it purely factual. However, as it was only 60% that said this I decided to make my video still come across as factual, as well as comedic, as this would then appeal to my audience better.

From my survey I also found out that there wasn’t a general idea on what the worst mistake was to make in an interview. 40% thought that it was to be conducting yourself with poor posture, 40% thought it was the use of informal language (such as slang or unprofessional vocabulary) and 20% thought that lateness was the worst mistake.  From looking at this I was able to understand what I needed to include in my bad interview to show what was good and bad. I ended up doing this through filming myself writing on cards what the interviewee was doing right or wrong in the interview. After finding out what people thought was good and bad, I knew what I particularly needed to include, such as informal language and unprepared.

Also after looking at my SWOTS I knew that I needed to include detail in my good shot list in order to create a good scrip to go along with it. Having a good script would allow my actors to ensure that they used comedy without having to think it up on the spot and therefore would lead to a better production and a smoother flowing production as it would look like an actual interview had been film. By doing this and making my production more realistic, it is more likely to appeal to the target audience. If it appeals to the target audience, it is more likely that the audience retains the information they get from the production, which means that my production met the brief better as I have informed young people on the world of work.
